Summary
Organised by the Road Fund and the Ministry of Transport of Ghana with the collaboration of the Sub-Saharan Transport Policy Programme (SSATP), the 5th General Assembly of the African Road Maintenance Funds Association was held in Accra, Ghana from 27 to 30 September 2006. The following countries were represented: Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, Republic of Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gabon, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Central African Republic, Rwanda, Tanzania, Togo, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The session of the General Assembly started with a Technical workshop on the following themes:
- The Mechanisms of collecting Road Fund revenues & Negotiations for widening of road tariffs.
